Eragrostis unioloides

Culms tufted, 10-55 cm high, erect or geniculate; nodes glabrous. base rounded or shallowly cordate, apex acuminate; sheaths to 5 cm long, 10-32-flowered, purplish. Stamens 3, violet. Stigmas white. Species grows in all types of dry and wet habitats and is tolerant to heavy disturbance and forms pure patches in such areas.
